RISE TO HONOUR
More games are starting to incorporate actors exclusively for game titles as opposed to merely basing it on a film. The results are also a cinematic approach. Jet Li stars in this one and it feels very much like those kung-fu action hero in the USA movies of his recent career. The high kicking fighting adventure is set in San Francisco & Hong Kong. Li portrays Kit Yun, Chiang's new bodyguard. A year after his employment the rivals try to take over. You fight and shoot with the creative analogue stick use, both left and right joystick incorporated to perform varied moves to take on multi-opponents. You kick, punch and shoot your way through lackeys, flunkies and toughies, and can also pick up objects to throw at them. Integrated mini-cut sequences further expand the action, making it flow with a bullet-time feel also included. You can unlock behind the scenes videos of action director Corey Yuen using the motion capture process. You can also view artwork. Games are becoming more and more like playing a movie, and there's nothing wrong with that - seeing as there are too mnay below par movies churned out each year.
