X Our two adventurous pals Jak and Daxter hit the racetrack with this new installment, again produced by Crash Bandicoot creators, Naughty Dog. The duo's old nemesis Krew has kicked the bucket. He has all of his enemies (including Shiv, Ashelin, Torn, and Cutter) congregate to hear the reading of his will, with his (unsuspecting daughter) Rayne. They're all tricked into drinking wine, which contains poison. They will only get the antidote if they win the Kras City Grand Championship, something Krew always dreamed of. You get a range of psycho vehicles with weapons and turbos to be picked up along the way as you race through Spargus, Kras City, Haven City, Icelands, and Grand Prix levels. Things start off in a relatively modest (but high octane) fashion, and gets more hectic. Furthermore the story progresses in between races, which includes an arrogant TV announcer. Precursor Orbs are again a factor and is necessary to upgrades your futuristic wheels.
