MORTAL KOMBAT Shaolin Monks
The Mortal Kombat series has come a long way from its arcade genesis to the living room on your TV. With the evil Shao Khan wanting to rule and destroy Outworld and Earthrealm, everyone's fate hangs in the hands of a few tough fighters (Liu Kang, Sonja Blade, Johnny Cage, Kung Lao) who need to win the Mortal Kombat tournaments in order to maintain the balance. This MK title lays the responsibility at your feet as one of these characters, which also allows for co-operative play with a friend. After the sinking of an island where our villain escapes, the Wu Shi Academy is attacked and the action is on the go. The difference between this and other MK games is the 3D platform styled story character - not a one-on-one, left-right bout, but a more free-roaming driving force. It's quick and bloody with a wide range of assailants attacking from all sides. There are falling rock dangers, you can pick up weapons, and perform those notoriously gory fatalities.
