MX vs ATV Unleashed
Just another MX or ATV game wouldn't have too much to offer, so, why not slap 'em together and give the gamer double the value and options?! Two games in one is never a bad thing, but then they shouldn't put half the effort into each department. Here THQ didn't skimp. From single- & multi-player to quick race and championships you get to cover any of the games with either a Motocross bike, All Terrain Vehicle or mixed. Be it Supercross, Follow The Leader, National Championships (16 tracks across 16 weeks), Short Track, Way Point Race, Hill Climb, Open Class Racing, Super Moto, Freestyle Freeride and Challenges. Actual pro jerseys can be picked: in the 125cc class there's Josh Grant & Ivan Tedesco and 250cc guys like Michael Byrne and Chad Reed. In the ATV department there are riders like Dana Creech and Joe Byrd. You can customize your scramblers & quad bikes and pick from dozens in the store (but they start at 100 000 bucks, so earn those points first). The 3D environments are cool, handling realistic and wipeouts hectic - tricks taking some practice. When you try to drive the wrong way it resets and throws you in the right direction, so no head-on mayhem. Extras include MX & ATV Pro Physics and -Difficulty. The wide variety of tracks include Savannah, New Orleans, Lago, Juniper Park, Monster Stadium, LA, St. Paul, Bolder, Toronto, Boston, Santiago, Woodstock, Maple Hill, Temple Of Apophis, Tipperary, Valhalla and more. Obviously you don't get them all on a platter and need to earn or unlock them. The jukebox contains 20 tracks blasting mainly hard rock to a few hip-hop groups: like Revolution, Black Eyed Peas, Cold, Pirates, Earshot, Cottonmouth Kings, Mudmen, Nickelback, Papa Roach, Pillar, Powerman 5000, Skindred, and Phunk Junkeez.
