NEO CONTRA
For those who remember this co-operative two player shoot-'em-up, from the good old arcade days and 8-bit / 16-bit consoles, the mega-gun toting duo can wreak havoc in this jacked-up 3D environment. It's even more high tech and hectic as your choice of fighters (Bill & Jaguar) spring into action after a missile attack. To the tune of a metal edged soundtrack and a choice of crazy weapons, you mow down everything from regular foot soldiers and air ships to sub- and major bosses. Organic and mechanoid monsters, armoured vehicles (run by the likes of Guerilla Contra), personnel carriers, and more can be blown to bits. Mainly rushing on foot, you also get to ride on the back of a dinosaur or speed in vehicles (the steering sometimes getting a little confusing at first when shooting in different directions). Besides scrolling diagonally into the screen or horizontally, you also get to drop down shafts, on platforms or up walls (with a giant alien on your ass!). Great shoot-'em-up fun.
