SMACKDOWN vs RAW 2006
Here WWE fans can realize their powerslam fantasies with their favourite Smackdown- or Raw wrestlers clashing in all their cheesy glory. Choose between Tag Team-, Triple Threat-, and single fights to Fatal 4-Way, Handicap, Royal Rumble and Main Event matches, a new Title Match segment also added. Game modes include Season, Pay Per View Mode and the new General Manager Mode (to prevent rehashing the previous games). In the locker room you can consolidate all of your stats, details and info. You can fight clean or dirty, connect your PSP or compete on-line. You get to choose between 63 wrestler (or pumped testonerone show-offs), whether you like or hate them: The Undertaker, Shaun Michaels, Rob Van Dam, Chris Jericho, Triple H, Orlando Jordan, Shelton Benjamin, Ric Flair, Rey Mysterio, Rene Dupree, Randy Orton, John Cena, Booker T, The Hurricane, Tajiri, Batista, Kane, Big Show, Edge, Chris Benoit, Spike Dudley and Kurt Angle - you've got your pick of the bunch. Eddie Guerero fans can have the passed hero live on as they play him to victory with his signature moves. The ladies are also included, like Trish, Lita, Joy Giovanni, Stacy Keibler and Torri Wilson. Hulk Hogan appears as himself, but you can also unlock Hollywood Hogan or Hogan '80s! Others to be unlocked include Andre The Giant, Bret Hart, Steve Austin, The Rock, Mankind, Junkyard Dog, Jimmy Hart and more. Several arenas can be selected like the obvious Smackdown! or Raw sets, as well as Vengeance, Armageddon, No Mercy, Unforgiven, Survivor Series, Velocity, Heat, Summer Slam, Great American Bash, Judgment Day, Backlash, New Years Revolution and Taboo Tuesday, with some to unlock: ECW, Wrestlemania IX and 21. The character movement is still not up to par with the likes of a Tekken, the limbs and movements a little rigid. If you're not a WWE fan, this may be a hard one to sell, but even so, it may be a different story if you're in control of the action and not the scriptwriters.
