Here's your chance to live out your idiotic fantasy of being an irresponsible illegal street racing twat causing road havoc and being praised for it. The difference with this and an all out over the top title like Carmageddon is the fact that not many people soup their cars up and head into the streets ala Death Race 2000 to knock over pedestrians, but reflect a sad and pathetic "pimp" image all the small minded morons of the planet stare at in awe as they watch the kitsch glitz of the music videos. This morning as I drove through the city I saw a guy in a turquoise Fiat Uno…with spinning rims! From Philadelphia to Miami and L.A. you can get into a range of vehicles like: Nissan Skyline GTR M-Spec, Toyota Supra Turbo, T-MR2 Spyder, VW Jetta Gli2.8L, Lexus IS 300, VW Golf GTI VR6, Nissan 3502, Subaru STI, Mazda RX-7, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. In Street Mode there's quite a bit to unlock: 50 cars, 52 videos, 72 races, 20 challenges and 18 girlfriends (I mean, really). And of course you get cash and respect points (shame…). Arcade Mode gives you Quick Race, Checkpoint, Iron Man and Speed Trial. The soundtrack is a mix of rock and hip-hop. The wet city night detail is quite nice, but you can't avoid the tacky rims and neon trimmings. Damage is nicely visible and you can replay the chaos.
