TAK 2 - The Staff Of Dreams
The saviour of the Poopoonoonoo people is back and this time it's even more fun. Tak has to save a princess in the Dreamworld (a trippy, weird platform environment), and serves up a whole lot of fun for both kids and adults. Tak has to accept the challenge or remain trapped in the Dreamworld - having already spent 16 days asleep). Some cool new characters pop up, including the Dream Guardian and his minions of imps, nasty Woodies (who catch animals you have to free) and Blobbies. Destroying the latter creates additional plasticine-like, colourful platforms in the towering Dreamworld (where you can easily drop off the edge!). Juju magic is again important and your Shaman mentor Jibolba rides along as a flea to give advice or can be aimed and flicked onto other characters to be either agitated into action (like nut throwing squirrels) or put to sleep - a very funny scenario. Along the way you also get to go through such crazy rituals as agitating a skunk to cover you in stink, in order to chase other animals in directions you want, like a bear, to herd him towards a honeycomb, have him lie on his back and drink honey (to allow you to use his belly as a trampoline to access an essential area you can't reach!). You whack enemies with your staff, collect magic feathers, ingredients for Juju potion, gain Juju magic and powers, swing along ropes and collect idols to place at Juju shrines to summon Tiki powers. There are also Dinky Games, mini-games like phoenix Flight, Snowbound Race, Mummy Shuffle, Feather Frenzy, and Sandboard Trick Score. A great improvement on the first in stead of a re-hash.
