X-MEN LEGENDS II: Rise Of Apocalypse
The X-Men comics have come a long way, and these mutated Marvel creations still grow in popularity especially since the live action movies made such a huge splash. On the game front it has varied from a basic beat 'em up to a Wolverine action adventure. Here the X-Men get teamed up with their foe Magneto and his sidekicks to take on a common enemy, Apocalypse - responsible for the abduction of Polaris. Magneto's clan includes the likes of Sabretooth, Mystique, as well as Nightcrawler. With an angled top-view of the action, the style of the game allows you to select between four characters for varied purposes, from Wolverine and Magneto to Storm and Cyclops, as you progress through the various levels with attacking enemies. The fighting doesn't get busy or energetic, but rather feels messy as the different characters bundle together. They also went for a more comic book look as opposed to a more realistic style. Not very impressive, but perhaps more fulfilling for hardcore X-Men fans.
