Or, The Isley Brothers, Mary Wells, The Contours, Lionel Richie, Martha & The Vandellas, Jimmy Ruffin, Rick James? The latter reminds us how cool his original “Superfreak” track is (as opposed to MC Hammer ripping the song for “U Can't Touch This”).
