Super Mario Galaxy 2

SUPER MARIO GALAXY 2

In true Mario tradition, the second installment of this tripped-out adventure naturally has Princess Peach kidnapped (at the Mushroom festival) by the gigantic beastly Bowser, taking her to a planet big enough for him to rule. With the help of puffy stars known as Lumas, Mario bounces across the galaxy in search of Peach, doing what he does best - which is allow players to have a blast in many spaced-out 3-D platform environments, always injecting something new. Your lizard buddy Yoshi is also at hand to be ridden or grab fruit with his tongue. The old-school 2-D jumping and coin collection is long gone with a whole new range of capabilities (including backwards- & side somersaults), and object collection for the all important points, lives and powers gained. You also need to set Lumas trapped in crystal free with your spinning action (by shaking your Wii remote). By grabbing special items Mario gets extra super powers like allowing him to jump on clouds, turn into a destructive rolling rock, throw fireballs, turn invisible, or into a bouncing spring, a bee, or in classic trippy Mario fashion, an invincible rainbow (most activated by shaking the remote).

Not all Wii games utilize the Nunchuk control attachment. Here it works great as you control Mario with the left thumb joystick. This time round a second player can also jump in and assist with sorting out your enemies.

Different age groups will get different things from this crazy game, but one thing they’ll all achieve is maximum fun.
