For 3 decades Thomas Chauke has been making Tsonga Traditional music. Across 25 albums Shinyori (his clan name) has palmed in many music awards. Shangaan traditional music has a wide appeal in South Africa and Chauke has a large chunk of the market. In his hands it is captured with that instantly definable sound and style of the electric guitar, keyboards and female backing vocals. The 10 tracks include H Holova, Xi Pereta, Ha Wanana, Kedibone, Matiphina, and Rosa. The production is not top notch and seems to have been shot in a community hall.
