THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS - Motion Picture
Soundtrack
Slapped together by Irv Gotti of Ja Rule (who also had a small
part in the movie, to the effect of even featuring himself on the sleeve!),
the 17 tunes on the soundtrack to this tyre burning flick mostly consists
of Hip-Hop & Rap artists. You've got Ashanti, Faith Hill, Ja Rule,
Black Child, Fat Joe, R. Kelly, Funkmaster Flex and Scarface.
Thus fans of everything put out by Def Jam and Murder Inc. Records
will go for this even without seeing the movie. The only group that doesn't
fit 100% into the demographic is Limp Bizkit - but their track
Rollin' does include heavyweights like DMX, Redman
& Method Man, so there you go. The soundtrack is relatively limiting
in its listener target and proves that while some people can enjoy a film,
the soundtrack on its own may not necessarily appeal to them - and vice
versa!
