LINKIN PARK - Reanimation

While a bunch of
Linkin Park fans were expectant of a new release after their DVD, in stead they got this remix album. Some of the remixed material is by Linkin Park men Mike Shinoda and Chairman Hahn - other remixers include Kutmasta Kurt, Alchemist, Backyard Bangers, Josh Abraham, The Humble Brothers and featuring guests like Korn's Jonathan Davis, Staind's Aaron Lewis as well as Stephen Richards, Motion Man and Phoenix Orion.
Each song does receive a different approach, some getting more Yo'd-up, extra scratching, rapping, FX & some new lines. All the
Linkin favourites are here, the tracks also being renamed in a broken sms way like for instance ENTH E ND, P5HNG ME A*WY, PPR:KUT, BY_MYSLF and KRWLNG. With a grand total of 20 tracks (including some specially created inbetweeners), this is a fine companion piece to the Hybrid Theory album. Many songs don't lose the passionate energy while a few get stripped down a bit too much.
It is interesting to see which direction they will go after their effective recipe of nu-metal and melodic nice vocals & rapping struck a chord in a big way. Cool cover design and a very stylish enhanced segment with weblinks,
Linkin Park mailing list join-up plus the digitally flash, robotic warrior video for PTS.OF.ATHRTY.
