MASTERS OF ROCK MASTERS OF ROCK MASTERS OF ROCK

ASIA

With no Asians in the band, these white rockers possibly chose their name as a reflection of their epic, big-sounding rock songs (their hairdos also stopping short and bordering on being pretty "big"). The combination of members from a range of successful rock groups like
Emmerson Lake & Palmer, Yes and Uriah Heep was a formidable one, launching the band as an 80s super group. Their sweeping track, Heat Of The Moment still stands tall as a landmark rock song filled with all the right nuances and audio textures to grab any listener - bypassing its timeframe. The 17 songs amassed for this Masters Of Rock release pays well deserved tribute to an impressive project which, like many others, offered the world a new angle by coming together from other groups to create something new and memorable. 10 million album sales later it is unlikely for Asia to dwindle in the ashes of time.
