People often don't realize just how long Steve Winwood had been at it,
many only introduced to his work of the 80s or aware of his more recent
solo career. His career spans from the 60 and 70s, where he made the greatest
impact, his distinctive voice still a very familiar sound. This collection
contains songs from his first three pinnacle band involvement; that of
the Spencer Davis
Group, Traffic
and Blind Faith.
With his blues influences and personal approach culminated with that of
the collaborative creativity of the members of these three bands, Winwood
made a substantial contribution to rock history, its evidence well documented
on this 14 track collection.
