PLACEBO - Once More With Feeling: Singles 1996-2004

Has it been almost a decade since the trio of Brian Molko, Stefan Olsdal and Steve Hewitt (collectively known as
Placebo) impressed us with their fragile, twisted and angst-ridden dark alternative pop-rock? It has indeed and how lucky the radio stations are to have them to infiltrate the tired, trite, tasteless garbage far too often filling the playlists. A whopping 19 tracks features fresh tunes (at their time of release, and many still today) such as 36 Degrees, Teenage Angst, Nancy Boy, Pure Morning, You Don't Care About Us, Every You Every Me, Taste In Men, Special K, The Bitter End, Special Needs and English Summer Rain. Without You I'm Nothing features the godly David Bowie as guest while Protect Me gets the French rendition Protège Moi (as you may have seen on their explosive live DVD). They can't leave it there without a new track, Twenty Years closing their first chapter, heading into a new one. The album sleeve features great black & white photography by Nadav Kander.
