SMOOCHING CLASSICS From Hot School Nights - Various
With the compilations of 80s pop classics coming fast and furious in 2004,
this one in particular takes the slightly more romantic route to conjure
up school day lip-locking moments, be it behind the sports field, at the
drive-in, at parties, in the backyard, at a pool party, or the more risky
parents house. The 36 track double disc does regurgitate many of the other
collections' favourites like Erasure, OMD, Tears For Fears, A-Ha,
Wang Chung, Belouis Some, Boy George (as well as Culture Club)
and Feargal Sharkey. But you can't do without a Duran Duran,
Spandau Ballet, Madness, Bryan Ferry, Yazoo, Simple Minds or Cyndi
Lauper track to capture the era and transport you back. Even Sandra,
Maxi Priest, Cutting Crew, Terence Trent D'Arby, Simply Red and the
evergreen David Bowie make a turn. Soft Cell's Mark
Almond and Gene Pitney's old-school classic also made it to
deliver marvelous flashback.
