B-52’s – Funplex

Whether it is the assistance of the stylist, make-up artist or botox-applicator, the B-52’s are carrying their years well. From the early ‘70s Panet Claire era to The Love Shack (and in between) they’ve been an original act which no-one has attempted to imitate. They surpass generic pop with a unique catchy bounce and rockabilly flavour behind the unmistakable male-female vocal combination of Fred Schneider, Kate Pierson and Cindy Wilson. While it is not exactly a blatant case, it always feels as though the B-52’s are a more clean-cut rendition of The Cramps. They’d been at it for over three decades, and definitely still have it.
