BLOODHOUND GANG - Hefty Fine

One man's offensive expression is another man's entertainment. When you pick up a
BHG album, you're bound to (rhythmically) laugh your ass off as the quintet led by Jimmy Pop make no attempt to be subtle as they riff through (more often than not) subjects of the lewd and crude kind, paying no heed to holy cows. While their crowning achievement was Hooray For Boobies, this follow-up was several years in the making (their One Fierce Beer Run DVD tiding the fans over), and is far tighter in scope, but also unfortunately bursting a little less at the seams when it comes to the non-stop barrage of madness and classic songs. The thing that sets them apart from any random dope swearing to rock music is the clever, inventive and deliciously nasty way Jimmy Pop constructs lyrics to his songs, often injecting cheesy '80s and synthesized dance loops and bass lines into their unique brand of rock. And if you like the CD sleeve, wait till you get a glimpse of the fold-out poster…
