FIONA APPLE – Extraordinary Machine

Fiona Apple is a phenomenal talent with a very unique brand of music that always stops short of being pop, but is not exactly full blown “alternative”. This album a great listen. An extra DVD contains the full album’s audio mixed in enhanced stereo. You also get the strange music video to It’s Not About Love (with the bearded guy lip syncing the song). The video was directed by Michael Blieden, but could easily have been P.T. Anderson or Spike Jonze. Other clips include live performances at Club Largo and The Jazz Bakery of songs like Parting Gift and the album’s title track, as well as ones not on this album: River Stay Away From My Door, Paper Bag, You Belong To Me, and Fast As You Can.
