GRAVE – As Rapture Comes

Grave still adheres to the classic Death Metal ethic – an intense, extreme, technical sonic battering. Very often in this genre the brutal vocals are indecipherable, but in the case of the new Grave album it’s quite audible without the aid of the sleeve’s lyrics. Be it slow, mean grooves or high speed attacks, this is not for listeners with faint musical dispositions.
Amid the tales and issues of faith, religion and damnation, you also get an intense cover of Them Bones, originally by Alice In Chains – you won’t realize it at first!
In many parts the shadow of the legendary Slayer hangs over these Swedes – not like it’s a bad thing.
