KORN – Live & Rare

When a band leaves a record company, the label often still have the rights to push out a few more releases of material falling under them to capitalize on their lost commodity, and usually take the form of a Best Of or live and rare tracks.
Korn’s Hits collection has already been released, and now it’s the turn of the (aptly titled) Live & Rare. This baker’s dozen of Korn favourites include live recordings from CBGB and Woodstock ’99. Tracks include Did My Time, Blind, Right Now, Here To Stay, and Freak On A Leash. They do the three parts of Pink Floyd’s Another Brick In The Wall and cover Metallica’s One (at the MTV Icon show which also appeared on the Tomb Raider single). There’s also Cheech & Chong's Earache My Eye hidden cover track, plus the tune Proud. The often rough live sound is not always everyone’s cup of tea, but if you’re a real fan, it’s essential to capture and experience a band like this in all of its incarnations.
