THE NARROW / PESTROY - Split

Two of Gauteng (and the country's) biggest Nu-Metal / Rapcore influenced bands clubbed together on this twin disc with an altered twist of a collaborative, yet separate effort of separate albums containing extra tracks, remixes and videos. It's a very cool package, especially since fans of the one is usually also fans of the other.
The Narrow includes unreleased and remixed numbers plus a cover version of a-ha's 007 theme song The Living Daylights. You also get a performance video clip of Lonely Lonely, simple but effective.
The
Pestroy disc is predominantly remixes by the likes of vocalist Tripwire, Hubmodule, and Theo Crous (Nude Girls / kobus!), not to forget the rare acoustic moment as recorded on UCT Radio. Pestroy's multi-media additions include video clips like the in-studio shoot of the song 2 min. H8, short bits on miking up the drums, bits of vocal recording, a picture gallery as well as web links for both Pestroy and The Narrow.
Metal is alive and well in South Africa, even if the SAMA's don't like to acknowledge it.
