PLACEBO - Battle For The Sun
The Placebo sound is a very well cemented one they're not likely to shake any time soon, and Brian Molko's guitar- & vocal style blend is an instantly recognizable badge. The dirty pop-rock groove of this trio has now been expanded with a new drummer, solidifying their live band sound, with electronics not as prominent (but supplementing where needed).
Even though at times this album hints at a touch more of a positive slant to the expected Placebo nihilism (don't be fooled), the band remains catchy but with that deviant undertone, maintaining their unique position in the music industry.
