SPIDER-MAN 3 – Soundtrack

Again, unfortunately, there is no inclusion of the film’s score, this time by Christopher Young (Danny Elfman, composer of Spidey 1 and 2 walked off the project due to director-composer conflict).
So, what you get is a mix of modern rock and indie flavoured songs used in the movie (and “inspired” ones crammed in for extra mileage). They include Snow Patrol, The Killers, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Wolfmother, Jet (in a relaxed mode), The Oolahs, Sounds Under Radio, The Walkmen and the more electronically fuzzed-up Beatsteaks.
The laid back trips come from Black Mountain, The Flaming Lips, Rogue Wave, Coconut Records, The WYO’s, and Simon Dawes (opening slow & steady but bursting into volume halfway through).
And then from left field swings Chubby Checker with his timeless Twist!
Not a bad selection of tunes, but as said, the lacking film score leaves a gap.
