SPRINGBOK RADIO Afrikaanse Treffers (1960-1984)

Back in the day Springbok Radio was not only popular amoung Afrikaans speaking South Africans for the radio serials & dramas, and shows like aunt Esme's So Maak Mens, but also for the Afrikaans music played. This collection delivers tunes from between the period of 1960-1984, with light pop- and love songs taking a prominent place (but country flavours, tear-jerkers and other less threatening styles are also present). They include:
Virginia Lee (1960), Groep Twee (1967, 1971 & 1972), Des & Dawn Lindberg (1968), Lance James (1970), Al Debbo (1970), Sonja Herold (1975), Ian & Dix (1976), Viki Du Preez (1977), Carike Keuzenkamp (1978), Herbie & Spence (1978), Laurika Rauch (1979), Anton Goosen (1979), Cora Marie (1981), Anneli Van Rooyen (1982), Kupido (1983), Herman Holzhausen (1984).
I am quite surprised that well-known artists like Ge Korsten is not present (unless future volumes of this series is being planned).
