Dr. Kawashima’s BRAIN TRAINING

As human beings we’ve evolved to a level where we find ways to do as little as possible. Our brains grind to a halt as we park in front of the idiot box, info beamed at us, making brain activity unnecessary, the frontal cortex lying dormant.

Dr. Kawashima’s brain exercise programme keeps your grey matter alert and on the ball with a range of analytical games and exercises, measuring the age of your brain compared to your actual age. It’s amazing, my brain age was 20 years over on the first go, but after 4 days it had dropped to 6 years under my actual age. Your daily progress is logged and you can view your advancement (or regression if you slack).
With your DS stylus you get to write answers to basic mathematical questions, draw pictures, match items and also get to speak into the microphone to answer brain teasers or read-aloud exercises. Sudoku fans will be happy to know this addictive game is also included.

A welcome diversion from the norm which actually serves a positive purpose.
