IRON
MAIDEN
–
Flight
666:
The
Film
With
Bruce
Dickinson,
Steve
Harris,
Nico
McBrain,
Dave
Murray,
Adrian
Smith,
Janick
Gers
When
Iron
Maiden
started
in
the
mid-‘70s,
no-one
would’ve
thought
that
this
Metal
band
playing
pubs
in
the
East
end
of
London
would
rise
to
become
on
of
the
biggest
ever
well
past
the
year
2000.
Iron
Maiden
broke
barriers
and
without
mainstream
assistance
or
radio
backing,
armed
only
with
an
arsenal
of
killer
songs,
a
fantastic
live
performance
and
a
dedicated
global
army
of
fans,
reached
their
pinnacle
on
their
recent
Somewhere
Back
In
Time
tour,
covering
125,000
miles,
38
countries
and
playing
to
around
2
million
fans!
This
was
made
possible
by
them
taking
charge
of
their
own
Boeing
757
(dubbed
Ed
Force
One),
piloted
by
the
multi-talented
vocalist
Bruce
Dickinson.
The
energy
and
magnitude
of
this
enormous
tour
was
captured
in
this
amazing
documentary,
covered
by
the
team
that
made
the
popular
documentary
Metal:
A
Headbanger’s
Journey.
You
get
into
the
thick
of
things,
from
the
planning
and
the
team
behind
the
scenes
keeping
this
monster
rolling,
to
the
personal
views
and
perspectives
of
all
involved,
and
of
course,
the
music
and
the
fans.
If
you
were
a
bit
slow
on
the
uptake
and
missed
out
on
this
documentary’s
special
cinema
screening
(in
500
theatres
globally),
you
can
now
pick
it
up
on
DVD
or
Blu-ray
–
but
even
if
you
did
catch
it
in
the
theatre,
if
you’re
a
true
fan,
you’ll
get
it
for
your
collection
regardless.
Especially
since
besides
the
invigorating
on-
and
off-stage
coverage
(including
live
performances
form
the
earlier
part
of
their
career),
you
also
get
an
extra
DVD
with
16
full
live
cuts
shot
in
as
many
countries
(these
songs
are
also
available
on
a
double
CD).
I
must
add
that
I
feel
had
vocalist
Bruce
Dickinson
not
returned
(around
the
brave
New
World
Maiden
phase),
I
doubt
whether
they
would’ve
reached
these
heights
with
interim
vocalist
during
the
mid-'90s
Blaze
Bayley...
