Dutch
DJ
Tiësto
has
been
voted
the
World’s
#1
DJ
by
DJ
Magazine
three
years
in
a
row
(2002-2004).
His
superstar
status
stretches
around
the
world
as
stadiums
of
dance
music
fans
party
facing
the
stage
like
there’s
a
band
performing.
But,
it’s
just
Tiësto
and
his
CDs,
the
video
wall
and
occasionally
a
guest
singer.
Tiësto’s
Elements
Of
Life
album
got
a
2008
Grammy
nomination
and
he
also
released
a
remixed
version.
This
was
shot
on
his
world
tour
at
the
Copenhagen
show
with
a
huge
crowd.
Some
will
still
find
this
phenomenon
strange,
but
at
least
he’s
playing
some
of
his
own
music
throughout
other
acts
like
Deadmaus,
Unity
Street,
Imogen
Heap,
Pascal
Feliz,
Miko,
Breakfast,
Carl
B.,
and
D’Alt
Vila
–
21
tracks
in
all.
This
is
not
exactly
the
Saturday
night
hotel
club
DJ
spinning
but
a
huge
production
with
big
sound,
flames
and
fountains.
Disc
2
contains
another
20
tunes
shot
at
Tiësto
parties,
including
Tegan
&
Sara,
Delerium,
Cold
Blue
&
Del
Mar,
Airbase
and
8
of
his
own
cuts.
In
the
sleeve
notes
you
even
get
a
breakdown
of
the
transportation,
sound
and
lighting
system,
lasers,
video
projection,
pyro
and
water
logistics
and
configuration
used
on
the
tour.
Extras
include
an
on-the-road
documentary,
music
videos
and
TV
spots,
as
well
as
an
mp3
soundtrack.
