AN
INCONVENIENT
TRUTH
With
Al Gore
Directed
by Davis
Guggenheim
After
Al Gore
got
nudged
out
of the
opportunity
to be
the
president
of the
United
States
of America,
he returned
his
attention
to seminars
he held
on global
warming.
This
tour
got
covered
in this
Oscar
winning
documentary.
With
the
aid
of big
screens,
animation,
statistical
graphs,
documentary-
and
scientific
footage,
what
you
get
is more
than
just
a boring
relaying
of data.
Director
Guggenheim
mixes
the
informative
seminars
with
in-betweeners
of Gore
reflecting
on his
mission,
his
life
and
our
planet.
We live
so much
in the
moment
and
relish
in our
daily
conveniences,
we often
lose
sight
of industrial
impact
on our
environment,
and
stretching
these
negative
effects
out
on a
graph
timeline
is not
at the
top
of our
list.
Seeing
the
alarming
leap
in meteorological
anomalies
in this
way
makes
you
think
–
but
will
you
act?
We do
however
trust
that
all
of the
often
distressing
planetary
crises
we’re
inflicting
upon
our
globe
are
represented
here
as factual,
and
needn’t
be verified
- Gore
is originally
a politician
after
all,
and
is there
a hidden
agenda
like
a stab
at the
military-industrial
and
oil
hungry
Bush
regime?
But
if you
feel
the
need,
don’t
hesitate
to confirm
your
suspicions
(or
be proven
wrong),
as most
of this
data
is not
classified,
but
readily
available
to the
public.
A lot
of it
boils
down
to logic,
but
it is
outweighed
by our
apathy
and
a microcosmic
self-centered
attitude.
An
Inconvenient
Truth
is an
important
film
to watch
for
everyone,
whether
you
take
it to
heart
or not.
We only
have
one
planet
and
if we
screw
it up,
that’s
it.
The
end
credits
feature
some
tips
on how
to save
energy
and
if we
all
follow
that
(to
the
detriment
of nobody),
we could
make
a difference.
