Music
is a
great
nostalgic
time-capsule
when
revisiting
songs
which
take
you
back
to specific
episodes
in your
life.
Here
that
soundtrack
is in
the
making
for
the
characters
involved,
the
music
they
encounter
building
memories
they
will
one
day
look
back
on.
This
very
sweet
movie
takes
the
viewer
across
one
vibrant
night
in New
York
City,
filled
with
romantic
high
school
disappointment,
new
love
and
a whole
lot
of music.
Nick
plays
in an
indie
band,
and
is still
quite
hung
on the
bratty
girl
that
dumped
him.
He’s
made
a series
of mix
CDs
with
a choice
of music
for
her
over
a painfully
elongated
period,
but
she
keeps
dumping
it.
Norah,
however
despises
this
little
wise-ass
(who
also
cheated
on Nick)
and
retrieves
the
discs,
loving
his
choice
of music.
On this
fateful
night
Nick
and
Norah’s
paths
cross
amid
the
search
for
the
location
of a
secret
gig
by their
favourite
band
Where’s
Fluffy?,
as well
as Norah’s
wasted
friend.
With
a colourful
set
of personalities
(of
all
sexual
persuasions),
cool
surprises
and
good
performances,
this
is a
very
unique
movie
with
“feel-good”
written
all
over
it (but
not
in a
sappy,
cheap
or crappy
way).
Cameo
appearances
by the
likes
of Eddie
Kaye
Thomas,
Kevin
Corrigan,
and
John
Cho.
Packed
with
extra
features
(on
a single
disc),
you
get
filmmaker
and
cast
commentary
tracks,
deleted
scenes,
making-of
featurette
and
video
diary,
music
video,
storyboard
comparisons,
and
a (not
too
hilarious)
blooper
reel
which
wasn’t
really
necessary
but
further
bulking
up the
package.
