THE SIMPSONS MOVIE

With voices by Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, Hank Azaria, Harry Shearer, Pamela Hayden

Directed by David Silverman

Written by creators James L. Brooks & Matt Groening (and a dozen others), it took two decades for the world’s favourite dysfunctional family from Springfield to make it to the big screen. In this epic adventure our beloved Springfield is quarantined by the Environmental Protection Agency, due to a classic Homer blunder. Not only does the world’s worst dad have to save his town, his dignity and his pride, but also win back his family. Besides the visual characterization of all the classic characters, there are of course the unmistakable voices which are instantly recognizable in any situation.
With so many people to please, I think the makers pulled off a great job.
Some may write it off as merely an extended TV episode – but even if so, what the hell’s wrong with that?
Extra features on this single disc edition include deleted scenes, audio commentaries and a bunch of extra stuff making this a good buy – but hard core Simpsons fans will prefer a double disc deluxe edition.
