I WRESTLED A BEAR ONCE - It's All Happening

Another run scored for the ladies of extreme music! - (and some company for Arch Enemy's Angela Gossow) with the growling Krysta Cameron and her band of audio assault artists slapping you silly with a blend of Death Metal, Grindcore and some undefined experimental trips and electronic/industrial stabs, making this band very far from run-of-the-mill. The deathly vocals also get melodic passages (sometimes hinting at the likes of Björk). Sometimes the choice of inbetweeners seem highly out of place and downright odd, but that adds to the quirkiness (as you may gather being prepared for it by the chaotic cut & paste cover design). Sure, the age-old caveman dilemma of (many) men believing women can't rock as hard as their male counterparts, often get contradicted, as it does here. While I am in a band with a female vocalist, this doesn't mean I'm always taken by any band with that configuration - as there are sections here where the vocals get a bit of a girlie-teddy-bear-growl like Flyleaf, which isn't always my favourite (and can sometimes sound a bit unconvincing).
