At the beginning of the new millennium, on Christmas day (2000), Flamedrop head out to cover a photographic co-production with make-up artist Sonja Ruppersberg, stylist Terence Norman, model Christina Storm and photographer Francois Oberholster. This ambitious photo shoot accumulated images from the group's pooled imagination. In association with Stage Magazine and Motorola, the hot three-day shoot in the small Karoo town of Fraserburg packed in almost a dozen shots of varied complexity, from a witch flying on a bass guitar and an armed & dangerous bikini babe, to a boxing girl and a saddled lass.
The Making Of documentary was first screened at the exhibition launch - Rhodes House, Cape Town, and covered all aspects of the shoot, from pre-production and the trip to the Karoo, to make-up application and scene set-ups.
