SPIDER-MAN 2 - Soundtrack
As to be expected, a hip blockbuster like this will stack in a bunch of
energetic young bands - especially of the rock persuasion. Most of the
tracks abide by this ethic and include the invigorating Jet (in
lower gear), the passionate Dashboard Confessional, the youthful
violin backed Yellowcard, harder hitting Lostprophets, soulful
rocking Maroon 5, introspective Train and modern rocking
Hoobastank. Other bands include The Ataris, Midtown, Smile
Empty Soul, Switchfoot and Taking Back Sunday. Even Ana
Johnsson doesn't keep it mild, Jimmy Gnecco (with Queen's
Brian May) offering up the slowest and most-tender of the bunch. The last
two tracks are dedicated to Danny Elfman's invigourating themes
for Spider-Man and Doctor Octopus. Like the movie, this
second soundtrack also lacks a bit of impact. The disc can also be used
to unlock exclusive Spidey 2 online content.
